LIVING OFF THE LAND: FOOD, FARMS AND FAMILIES

Today's "local food movement" is a popular trend, but is really nothing new in communities like ours where getting fresh fruits, vegetables and eggs from local family farms has been a prominent feature of  community life since colonial days.   LIVING OFF THE LAND explores how local farming and food production have changed over time and how agriculture continues to contribute to the character and quality of life of our community and our region.  This self-guiding exhibition features objects, photographs and recipes to tell the story of farming in Old Harrison Township.
