THE HARRISON ACADEMY
Schooling in Old Harrison Township has a long history. Quakers established the first school in Mullica Hill as early as 1720, one of the oldest in Gloucester County, and by the 19th century one-room schoolhouses were scattered throughout the township. The Harrison Academy explores the history of education here and features objects from several of the township's historic educational institutions.
Old Town Hall Museum is open seasonally in the Spring and Fall. Private tours can be arranged at other times by contacting the Society. Admission is free.
