RACCOON VALLEY GENERAL STORE
Not too long ago every sizeable village in Old Harrison Township contained at least one general store. These businesses were more than just mercantile establishments; they often were community gathering places where town and country folk would run into each other and share local news and happenings. Stores often also housed the local post office. The Raccoon Valley General Store is a recreation of those old-time institutions and features furnishings and artifacts from local stores. The Society also offers an interesting stock of goods for purchase so visitors can experience old-time general-store shopping. All proceeds benefit the Society's programs.
Old Town Hall Museum is open seasonally in the Spring and Fall. Private tours can be arranged at other times by contacting the Society. Admission is free.
